Hospitals/ Clinics outsource the work to india. Medical coder need to analyse Medical Records, identify Reason for visit/Diagnosis/Treatment etc and assign the numerical codes. Typically Junior coder can code 60 files per day ( 8 hours), senior coder 100 files per day ( 8 hours).
